Plain-language data practices

What Xcatcher processes

This operational notice describes the current service behavior. It avoids implying deletion schedules or guarantees that have not been implemented.

Data categories

Xcatcher processes only the information needed for the access path and task you choose.

CRAWLS

Requests and results

Named public X handles, selected mode, task state, public-post result rows and coverage metadata are processed to execute and retrieve a crawl.

ACCOUNTS

Optional account data

The account path processes username, password credential material, API-key metadata, point balance and task ownership. API keys should be treated as secrets.

PAYMENTS

Quote and settlement records

The x402 path processes request-bound quote details, wallet/payment protocol payloads, transaction receipts and task-access records needed to verify, settle and recover a paid request.

OPERATIONS

Security metadata

IP addresses, request identifiers, timestamps and error/rate-limit events may be processed for abuse prevention, diagnosis and payment safety.

Important limits

Use the service only for data and accounts you are permitted to process.

No wallet secrets required

Xcatcher does not need a seed phrase or private key. Never submit either one.

Public X content remains external content

It can be inaccurate, harmful or malicious. Treat it as untrusted data and follow applicable X terms and law.

Access expiry is not deletion

A direct xtask_ credential expires after seven days. Xcatcher does not currently publish a fixed deletion deadline for all task, result, quote, account or operational records.

Free inspection minimizes collection

preflight_crawl creates no quote or task. get_sample_result returns synthetic data and performs no X crawl.

Questions and requests

Include enough information to locate the relevant account or task, but do not email active secrets.

Contact [email protected]. Never send a password, API key, task token, payment signature, seed phrase or private key.
